Use an approximate length to illustrate a documented national service range. This estimator supports exterior French drains and channel drains only. Other work returns no dollar range. Results are not Corpus Christi quotes or verified local averages, and they do not establish that the required outlet, access or finish is included.
Evidence and formula
French-drain context is $10–$50 per linear foot, with a narrower published reference of $10–$35. Channel-drain context is $30–$150, with a narrower reference of $30–$100. The formula multiplies entered feet by each low and high value. It preserves disagreement rather than averaging the bands. The cost guide explains inclusions and exclusions.
Scope outside the arithmetic
Depth, access, private utilities, loading, approvals and restoration can change a real proposal. The checklist prompts those questions but adds no unsupported dollar adjustment. No rebate, permit fee, tax, contingency or local wage multiplier is invented. Labor wages are not contractor selling rates.
Use the estimate checklist to compare a complete receiver and finish. French drain installation and channel installation explain the distinct work. If the source or outlet remains uncertain, use the assessment or request an inspection rather than treating length arithmetic as a design.
